Personal AI Supercomputing for All

In a groundbreaking announcement at CES 2025, NVIDIA has unveiled Project DIGITS. A revolutionary personal AI supercomputer designed to empower AI researchers, data scientists, and students worldwide. This innovative project features the new NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which promises to bring unprecedented AI computing power to individual desktops.

Revolutionising AI Development

NVIDIA’s Project DIGITS is set to transform the landscape of AI development. With the GB10 Superchip, users can access up to 1 petaflop of AI performance, enabling the development and fine-tuning of large AI models directly from their desktops. This superchip combines the latest-generation CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with a high-performance NVIDIA Grace CPU, delivering exceptional power efficiency and connectivity

Empowering the AI Community

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasised the significance of this development: “AI will be mainstream in every application for every industry. With Project DIGITS, the Grace Blackwell Superchip comes to millions of developers.” – ” Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI”

Unmatched Performance and Flexibility

The GB10 Superchip’s impressive specifications include 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of NVMe storage. This allows developers to run up to 200-billion-parameter large language models, advancing AI innovation. Additionally, two Project DIGITS systems can be linked using NVIDIA ConnectX networking to handle even larger models, up to 405 billion parameters.

Seamless Integration and Scalability

One of the standout features of Project DIGITS is its seamless integration with NVIDIA’s existing ecosystem. Developers can prototype AI models on their local Project DIGITS systems and then scale them on NVIDIA DGX Cloud. This flexibility ensures that AI projects can grow from desktop experiments to large-scale deployments without compatibility issues.

A New Era of AI Accessibility

With Project DIGITS, NVIDIA is making AI supercomputing accessible to a broader audience than ever before. By providing powerful AI tools directly to individual users, NVIDIA is fostering a new era of innovation and discovery in the field of artificial intelligence.

Availability

Project DIGITS will be available in May from NVIDIA and top partners, starting at $3,000.
